- In 1972 Gerald Tomsic received his B.S. degree in Economics from Wharton School of Finance, at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University in 1976.
- Prior to becoming an attorney, Gerald Tomsic practiced as a Certified Public Accountant. While attenting law school, he worked full time advising businesses as a CPA, for two of the nation's largest accounting firms; Price Waterhouse and Arthur Andersen & Co.
